As you’d expect, we have more than one solution, and that largely depends on how wet things will get in each room. Here is a handy guide to which blinds you should choose to best suit your requirements.
Generally speaking, we highly recommend PVC Artwood window blinds for areas where the moisture levels are high and when the blinds themselves might get wet. While these blinds are made from PVC, they look just like timber and cost a fraction of the price. Because of the material they’re made from, these blinds are highly water-resistant and will keep their shape. Having said that, a quick wipe to dry them from time to time won’t go astray.
For bathrooms, and other “wet areas” that don’t get soaked then aluminium Venetian blinds can be factored into the equation as well. Aluminium is another material with excellent water-resistant qualities and it stands up well to condensation too.
Finally, if the room is well-ventilated and has less humidity, then it could be dry enough to consider installing real timber blinds. This is something you can do if the blinds are unlikely to get wet directly and don’t need to handle a high degree of humidity. If you are unsure, it is probably best to choose our Artwood PVC window blinds or aluminium Venetian blinds as too much exposure to wet or damp can cause genuine wooden blinds to warp over time.
